Hi, I'm Alondra; a therapist, photographer, writer, and lifelong learner.

I help people wake up the parts of themselves they’ve learned to put to rest. Through therapy and creative work I help them turn hard-to-name feelings into something they can actually see.

BACKGROUND:

I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in clinical counseling, trained in DBT and CBT.

My own path to this work started when I switched from a double major in business and biology to psychology. For the first time I chose what felt true over what looked impressive, a core value that now sits at the center of everything I do.

I earned a full grant for my undergraduate education and graduated early, but the real education came from learning to trust my own knowledge over other people's blueprints. Something I now help others do in both my clinical practice and creative work.

I've always belonged to multiple worlds at once, which meant I learned early that fitting into one box was never going to work.

I grew up moving between countries and languages, always translating not just words, but entire ways of seeing the world. That constant code-switching taught me how to hold contradictions, but it also taught me how exhausting it is to perform different versions of yourself depending on who's watching.

The tipping point came when I realized I'd spent years becoming what my parents wanted (pre-med, business degree, the whole immigrant dream), and I was miserable.

Switching to psychology wasn't just changing majors it was the first time I chose what felt true over what looked impressive, and that decision changed everything for me.

Now I’m in this work because of the people I have met who feel stuck in that same place I was: performing a life that looks good on paper while becoming more disconnected from what truly matters. I help people find their way back to themselves, whether its through therapy or creative work.

A few extra “titles”…

Perpetual Language Learner:

I taught myself Italian, I'm currently learning French, and I'm fluent in English and Spanish. Languages are my way of refusing to stay in one world when so many others exist!

Lover of Nature and Animals:

There is something about water that feels like home. I try to show my dog Maison as much of the world as I can, one beach at a time. I hope to one day have an animal sanctuary.

Experimenter:

I'm currently teaching myself to sculpt and paint as an adult. I am deliberately choosing activities where I don't have any experience. It's my way of challenging the perfectionism that kept me from making art for years.

Solo Navigator:

I've been traveling alone since I was 18. I'm drawn to the kind of exploration that happens when you're responsible for figuring it all out yourself.

Now back to you…

Whether you need a therapist who gets that your complexity isn't a diagnosis, or creative work that reflects your inner world back without trying to fix it, I'm here to help you stop performing and start living as yourself.

This is my creative space for photography, writing, and everything that doesn't fit neatly into one category.
